Application of simulation

Course tittle: Application of simulation

Faculty: Pau Fonseca, Professor of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research and Researcher of the inLab FIB at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC). Owns a Ph.D. in statistics and operations research and M.S. in computer science. Owns an extensive experience in the transfer of simulation technology to the industry, being involved several competitive projects such as the simulation of the Barcelona Airport or the plant expedition of Almirall Prodesfarma. His main research interests are on environmental and social Simulation, and formal representation of simulation models; this interest has led him to collaborate with the ITU-T in the definition of the new version of the Specification and Description Language (SDL-2010).
